Oh, it IS really the date for Big Shell :O I had somehow completely forgotten v__v I’m actually just playing that chapter, talk about good timing. (Okay, I’m a few years late but still…)

Sorry, I’m therrible at explaining. My basic blending method is quite simple. I use the default brush with very low opacity to add many layers of color until I reach the shade I want. I usually paint the main shadow areas first with large brush size and then soften their edges with a smaller brush. After that I add some details with the smallest brush size, opacity still low. There’s no real rule to how many shading colors I use for one area but often it’s something like: base color +2 colors, lighter and darker, for shadows +1-2 for highlights depending on how many light sources I put in the pic.
So basically I just mess around with low opacity until I’m satisfied. :D It’s kind of hard to explain without pictures, maybe I’ll post a short guide/tutorial thing to my Colors! gallery. Should serve its purpose better than this poor explanation.
